I spotted the orange object in the west-southwestern sky through a leafless tree across the street from me. the sky was dark and clear. the object appeared to be moving slowly northward in level flight, at constant speed, direction, and altitude. it got my attention because of it's slow, level flight, and it's steady, non-blinking orange glow. there were not any blinking red, blue, or white lights coming from the object. i lost sight of it in the west-northwestern sky when trees obstructed my view. prior to my observation i was noticing how red the planet in the east-southeastern sky looked. i thought that maybe it was mars. so i scanned the sky, looking for any stars or planets that might be giving off a similar reddish light. that's when i saw the orange object flying northward through the west-southwestern sky. my wife and i witnessed this event together at 6:10pm on november 7, 2020. neither one of us has ever seen anything like this in the sky before.
