My wife and i were camping at lake whitney, texas. we were sitting outside at a campfire and looking up at the stars as it was a very clear night with many visible stars. my wife noticed the ufo in the northern sky. she at first thought it was a shooting star, as it was a faint line in the sky that appeared to be a 1/4 of an inch in length and about 30 degrees up from the horizon. as the object moved closer towards us it was moving south. the size begin to grow in length to ultimately 2-3 inches and directly overhead. it moved in a very fluid like motion as if it was gliding. it transitioned quickly from the white line to where we could see that it had obvious lights that appeared "star" colored and round in a perfectly straight near vertical line. this rapid transition from faint white line to vivid discernable lights made it seem the object had been traveling very fast. the lights weren't much larger or brighter than the stars themselves. there was no accompanying sound. the object had a slight tilt to it so that the lights were never straight up and down or completely side to side. my wife was the first one to ask, "are we seeing a ufo?!" then repeatedly said," oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" i finally decided to get my cell phone from inside the camper to get something on camera. as i was trying to open the camera, my wife said, 'it's gone". she said that the lights suddenly dimmed and then went out. we continued to watch the sky to see if the lights would come back on and we never saw anything.
