We both observed a bright light in the sky while looking out over a farmers field. we noticed it's unusual brightness at the same time and wondered out loud whether it could be a star or an aircraft. we could not observe any movement across the sky, so we determined that it might be mars. however, the light began to get brighter and brighter, larger and larger, which made us believe that it could be an aircraft coming straight for us. but that thought was very quickly extinguished as we witnessed the light move at an extremely fast speed directly up into the upper stratosphere and beyond, until it's light faded away. both of our jaws dropped, we stared at each other, and loudly exclaimed, "wtf!" we understood that nothing man-made could possibly have moved at that tremendous speed out of earth's atmosphere. the conclusion was undeniable to us.
