According to several news outlets who aren’t as lazy as us, scientists have discovered a highly possible sign of life on Venus. The sign of life is a rare gas molecule called phosphine, which on Earth comes only from microorganisms that live in oxygen-free environments. The Venusian phosphine was detected in the atmosphere of Venus where conditions are much more Earth-like, unlike the rocky surface of Venus which is an entirely unsurvivable hellscape comparable in its complete lack of life-sustaining qualities to that of downtown Los Angeles.
