Had left our camera (canon eos rebel t3i with an efs55-250mm lens) in our vehicle from earlier in the day and went out to retrieve it around 10:50. lately i've been sky watching and taking pictures of objects i see. on my way back into the house i looked around at the night sky, and sure enough, there was this object slowly floating across the sky. i spotted it to the nw of me heading w. however, it made a long slow turn in the s direction then when it was almost directly over me, it turned e and stayed on that heading for a bit then headed more se until it disappeared. i've made the mistake of having the camera settings wrong for taking night picture before. this time the object was moving slow enough that i took the time to change the settings and began to take pics. i should mention, that to my eye, the object looked like a slow moving wobbly incandescent light bulb. but i noticed that some of the pictures do not show it lit up. however the pics do show something is there. i don't know if the camera caught something i couldn't see, because to me it looked the same the whole time. picture 8 (image91) you have to look well, but there is a dark object there. and in pic 9, it is coming back into view. i know it was the same object i was taking pics of due to it moving so slow. i was able to track it easily. so i'm not really sure what is going on in some pictures.
