I live in leeds, in the north of england. i have a skylight window looking onto the night sky. and for a couple of hours before dawn, i often see bright specs or orbs (little bigger than stars) travelling in a very straight, northerly trajectory, at about twice the speed of commercial planes. i rarely see more than one at a time, given the limited vista of the window. they generally follow a familiar path - appearing in the top-half of the window, on the righthand side and travelling to the bottom-half of the window, on the lefthand side, then out of sight (from my supine position on my bed). but occasionally they have a higher latitude, on a fairly parallel trajectory to their usual one. i often see several of these orbs (separately) before dawn, maybe 5-10 minutes apart, on roughly the same trajectory. i assumed that these were satellites, given the regularity of their appearance and trajectory, but then on occasion, one of these orbs was closely followed (half a windows' distance apart) by a second orb. then just as the second orb disappeared out of sight, the same thing would happen again - an orb appearing on the right, on the familiar trajectory, closely followed by a second orb. this repeated - like on a loop - several times. then, last night, as i craned my neck a little to see one of these orbs move towards the lefthand side of my window, the orb slowed down a little, then quickly accelerated away at twice the usual speed, on a sharp 45⺠angle towards the bottom of the window, and out of sight!
