UFO Sighting in Thornton, California on July 31st 1978 – Craft came out of cloud, hovered, went back into cloud, disintegrated.

I was driving to work, we worked in Courtland Ca. for Safeway packing as scab forklift drivers, as I said I were driving to work for about fifteen minutes when the guy in the passenger seat said I don't know if any of you have noticed but this cloud has been in front of us since we left Lodi and there isn't another cloud in the sky, I looked and said hey, maybe there's a spaceship hiding behind it, and someone from the back said yeah with little green men in it, everyone started laughing when this ship started to come out of the left side of the cloud I slammed on my brakes and stopped put it in park and shut off the engine while staring at it, got out of the car and started walking toward it to get a better look at it, I could hear everyone screaming profanities at me to get back in the car or they were going to leave me, but I had the keys in my hand, I was looking for anything I could see, but there was nothing, no windows, no doors, no seams, nothing, I don't remember seeing a moon, but there were a lot of stars out in the back ground, I remember looking and there were no other clouds in the sky. Then the ship moved back behind the cloud and within seconds the cloud disintegrated and there was nothing, I got in and drove to work with everyone yammering like little school boys, at lunch it's all we could talk about, when we got home we called the airforce to report it to project bluebook, they said there was no project bluebook and took our report, they said they had 500 other calls about the sighting, and that it was a weather balloon in the area. This was no weather balloon.
