UFO Sighting in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 1st 1981 – Witnessed with principal. Black 55 gal drum but bigger. Daytime and no sound.

Witnessed a large black 55 gal drum looking ufo with no sound. Rotated very slow and had no markings. Observed for around 5 minutes before being told to go inside by school principal who also witnessed event. Happened at Shaunee Middle School in 1981. I have seen pictures of other similar craft, but shape was a little different. This for the most part was as described above, a very large 55 gallon drum rotating very slow with no sound and holding its position. Had just finished a model rocket contest at school and was heading back in with my principal. We were the last ones coming in and I saw the craft and alerted him to it. We both stopped and observed for around 5 minutes before he sent me in. He stayed to observe, but never spoke about it with him after. The school is now Indian Hill Elementary School outside of Westerville and is located roughly 45 miles from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton.
