UFO Sighting in Bluefield, Virginia on April 14th 1985 – Stationary light in sky that got bigger,no sound, three red lights came on back, shot up ridgeline

I was in high school. It was in the evening around twilight. I was setting in my parents living room watching TV. I noticed a light outside when I looked out the picture window. It finally got so bright it was interfering with me watching TV. I went out on the front porch and looked at it. It was stationary and made no sound, very bright and large. I opened the front door and yelled at my mom who was upstairs in the kitchen. She came out on the porch too. We discussed what it could be. She decided to go inside and get my dads binoculars to see if she could see any detail. She looked through the binoculars but only saw light. Suddenly three red lights came on on the back of it and it shot up the ridge line and disappeared. It went from stationary to super fast within the blink of an eye. It never made any noise and did not leave a trail or anything. We both were baffled and confused. Not long after that my aunt and uncle who lived up the street from us told my mom that they were on their way home one night and said there was a bright light hovering over our house. They said they blew the car horn trying to get our attention but we never heard them. They were baffled by what they saw and told my mother the following day.
