UFO Sighting in Cairo, Ontario on October 1st 1974 – It was early spring or fall, two others were with me we all saw the same thing.
Arthur Sipple had to take his sister to babysit approx. 12 miles from Bothwell in a rural area located half way between Newburry & Cairo, so I went as did Daniel Griffith. We dropped off Lorraine and headed home facing west. We came to where the paved/gravel roads intersect. Directly in front of us at about a 30-45 degree angle, about 1/8 to 1/4 a mile away hovering over an open field, near a house, to its left and slightly behind it, just above tree tops was this glowing object, oval in shape about the size of a VW Bug. It had a yellow or golden tinge while it got whiter, an opaque towards the centre. There was no sound during the whole incident. There was a sense of lost time, probably tunnel vision, no problems with Arts car. I was about to say lets park and go check this out when: a beam of light same colour came down in perfect symmetrical lawyers like a cake expanding proportionally, cone fashion, to like a large disc, the gaps between these layers were proportional to the dimensions of these light layers. You could see tree's stars, between the layers. However, when that layer hit the ground it was like taking a very hot frying pan then pouring cold water on it. Shards of light, same colour went everywhere, we left pronto at top speed and only once ever talked about between us, who would believe this ? I called two universality's, Toronto and I think it was Cal Tech, talked to two Physic's Professors about how to create the beam thingy with light, they said it cant be done. Well I know it can, seen it and I know an intelligence built this object that at the time no country on earth could build.
