I am witnessing, every clear night, strange behavior from what appeared to be stars at first. i thought maybe i was being disoriented, but other objects in the sky remain stationary. a couple "stars" will sway back and fourth, as if they are trying to maintain a steady altitude and longitude/latitude, but are unable to do so perfectly. upon downloading a star map on my phone, i could not identify the stars in question. i was able to determine that they were in fact moving by making a stationary object for reference, and comparing the "star" above in contrast to the stationary object. they seem to be attempting to mock the rotation of the earth as well, but aren't doing so as a typical star would based on the curvature of the earth. these objects are quite obviously much closer to earth, possibly 500-3000 feet in altitude. one night, i was watching one of these objects, and it seemed to come closer to me in order to inspect me. directly over a tree line, some 30-60 feet away perhaps. this was right before dawn as the objects location naturally moved to where my house is. no sound, but it appeared to just be a single light, as if it was only made of light and nothing else. i could tell it was closer due to my peripheral vision (walking from side to side several feet while watching the object). i waved at it, and it seemed to have panicked and disappeared. i have 20/21 vision. i'm 36 years old. i'm an engineer with 16 years experience with an understanding of modern quantum physics and basic aerospace engineering knowledge.
