the strange appearance occurred this morning at 5:30 am. i got up and looked out the upstairs bedroom window at the lake. i noticed a flash of light, on the far side of the lake. the lake is aprox 2.3 miles across at this point and there is a two land paved road all along the far shore. there are areas that the road is easily seen from our side as well as some areas that are blocked by trees along the lank of the lake. (elevation 2226')
it was a bright clean morning. no wind, some scattered clouds, temp was 68.
the road across the lake is the same elevation as our home so i was looking almost straight across. i first saw the light at tree tip elevation and it appeared to be about the size of a basket ball. it was heading down into the lake when i saw it. i did not see it actually go into the water . i did not see an object in the water, just the path it left??
after it hit the water this off "path" or track appeared, all the way across, but i did not see where it went when it reached our side. the shore line to the right (west) of us is blocked by trees and unless i am down by the water i can not see the bank there.???
