Thought i had observed a falling star, very bright white with no trail, very quickly ascending just like a falling star then it vanished,it came in from the east. then it reappeared still moving east and vanished again, thought maybe a lightening bug but much too early for them and it was moving too fast and lightening bugs have a greenish glow around here in w.Pa. it reappeared again turned and headed west and upward and vanished again, it blinked several times randomly during the encounter. the entire encounter lasted maybe 10-15 seconds and covered an area that i could not determine accurately because it was at 10:17 pm and dark outside, but if i had to make a calculated guesstimate i would say it traveled an area of maybe10-15 miles before it vanished. at first it appeared to be rather large to be the normal falling star and there was no tail, but i surmise that it was closer when it first appeared, then it became half it's size when it reappeared, and half it's size again when it appeared again, as it went up it vanished into a pin head of light. it couldn't have been a known aircraft like a helicopter, it was way to fast and zero noise or wind. it couldn't have been a jet because they can't turn that fast at that speed and at such a tight sharp turn, like the curve in the handle of a walking cane. i pondered what i had just seen trying to make sense of it for 30 seconds to a minute before deciding to report the strange occurrence. i am 62 years old and have seen a lot of unexplained things but this one deserves noting.
