We were on our way to my older brothers fianc��e house.
I was 14 at the time and had become interested in astronomy year before so at night my eyes were usually looking at the sky.
We were on our way to the car, I was looking up and thought I had found a constellation but one of the stars in it was moving slowly. No sound. There was a few inches of snow on the ground. It was a beautiful, clear and quiet night.
I looked more closely and realized I was looking at a triangle shaped object with a few lights on the bottom. It was moving slowly.
I couldn't tell its size but it was very clear against the night sky.
I'm thinking it was more then 500 ft away and I could not figure out how big it was.
I had it in perfect view for about 30 seconds to a minute when my dad called me to get in the car. I then ran to the car and told them to get out and look at the object, taking my eyes off of it for about 30 seconds.
Then when I tried to find it again, it was gone!!!!!!
I started telling people what I saw and most reactions were of disbelief so from then on I kept it to myself!!!
This was my only UFO I have ever had the pleasure of seeing in my 70 years!!!!!!
