UFO Sighting in California on March 23rd 2016 – Pulsating light VERY VERY slow moving – lights were random

1: In my backyard smoking 2: Looked up at the stars 3: Helicopter or plane 4: It was completely dark in the part of the sky i was looking at. Then looked like beam of light pointed straight at me. Then went off....10 seconds later on again. I called my daughter out to take a look. She gasped when it happened. The light was as high as a start...but as bright as a low flying helicopter. No sound. The object only moved about an arms length across the sky NE towards SE. White light blinking randomly. 5: I'm completely miffed about what this might be. 6: A passenger airline was coming from south to north towards SFO and the light stopped. Waited about 10 minutes to see if it started again...it didn't P.S....about a week ago i looked up in the NW sky and was looking at the stars. One of them was moving really slow from N to S. Then about an hour later i noticed one moving S to N. They were extremely high...i assumed they were satellites.
