UFO Sighting in Lima, Lima on May 7th 2010 – bright white light flashes across entire western sky at night

(Friday, May 7, 2010) my partner and I were walking our dogs at 9:45PM and the entire Western sky inexplicably lit up for just a second. We both looked at each other bemused, the dogs did not react. The light seemed to be projecting from the Sierra de San Pedro Martir toward the Sea of Cortez (from west to east). It was so bright and powerful and "otherworldly" that it couldn't have been a search light or anything easily explainable like that, it seemed to be projecting toward us from afar. Never seen anything like that before and there was no sound and no trace. It was absolutely mysterious and stunning. There is an astronomical observatory in those mountains but when I contacted them to find out if they had seen something, there was no response. This light was much more intense and huger in proportion than an iridium flare sighting or anything else I can imagine.
