I view the night sky quite often. I have seen plenty of man made satellites before but this wasn't one of them. The object appeared in the most distant southern sky. It appeared to rise like it was being launched. It moved very quickly from the south heading due north more rapidly than anything I've seen before. It completely crossed out of sight in less than 30 seconds. I've seen many shooting stars and satellites in orbit and the was definitely not that. It was almost like a shooting star with no tail that never descended but remained in the sky (no tail either). I don't know what it was but tried to find something to explain it online, then found this site and decided to post. Any thoughts or opinions would be helpful. I'd love to see it again! Thanks!
