I was looking out of my front door checking the weather to see if it was getting colder. The sky was clear and I enjoy looking at the stars and am familiar with the constellations. I noticed this object was not a star or plane because it was changing colors from bright white to red in sequence and was in the wrong place to be a star or planet. I had my husband look at it as well. He left and I observed it shoot a much smaller white object from the left top side of it and it disappeared as a small shooting star would. The object didn't move. There was no sound, but I spotted a small plane moving to the right, but in front of the object headed NE away from it. I was a bit excited because I know it was not a star, planet or plane. My husband told me to get inside and close the door so our cat wouldn't get out. I did, but went back about 10 minutes later to see if it was still there and it was gone.
