UFO Sighting in Caledon, Ontario on August 5th 1985 – large bright object at the side of the road about the hight of a telephone pole, just sat there with no sound for 10 minutes then split into 3 small objects and went in different directions

We were driving south on a highway at approx 10 pm, we saw a bright light that seemed to be curving, when we got to it we got out of the car and tried to figure out what it could possibly be, it was a very bright blue/white light about 10 feet in diameter, it did not make any sound nor did it shine a light down. After about 10 minutes it split into 3 small parts two went off to the left and one went directly south and disappeared at a very high speed. When it broke into three parts there was a white light on the front and a red light on the back but no real shape. We did not feel frightened but I did feel disappointed when it was gone.
