I was 12 or 13 at the time back in 1992 or 1993. During the summer anywhere from june-july around 10-11 p.m.. My friend Billy was over and we were watching a Freddy Krueger movie. Our neighbor called and told my parents that UFO's had been reported above Estacada. Whoever had answered the phone said that someone had called the news. I think they even mentioned it was channel 2.. Not sure its been years. Any way the response from the news was that they had heard of the reports and were not going to air anything or investigate it. We lived about 7 miles N.W. of Estacada. So Billy and I went outside and sat in the field and stared at the stars for about 10-20 minutes.
After a while of intently staring at the sky I noticed 3 tiny pin sized lights. directly above us. They seemed to be really really high. I had never seen a satelite before. Now that I have they appeared to look like a sattelite does. Not as bright as the space station though, and possibly dimmer than an average sattelite. One was blue, another seemed to be red and another was white. The lights stayed within a small area in the sky and would sit still and looked like a faint star. They would then dart to one side stop abruptly and change course at a 90 degree angle shoot to another spot not far away stop then change course again. All 3 did this kind of right angle triangle shape dance in the sky.
I could clearly see the different colors as well as a movement not typical of any airplane or sattelite. I watched in amazement as I tried describing where they were to Billy. He could not see them and became frustrated. I think he thought I was lying or messing with him. We sat there for at least 20-30 minutes. I enjoyed watching them and was amazed. He was frustrated and wanted to go back to watch the movie.
