UFO Sighting in Chorley, on January 10th 2016 – Chinese lantern like object that stayed stationary before fading away.

I was walking to the nearby bus stop with my boyfriend. It was a really windy night, and when we went to turn off into the next street we saw something in the South. What struck me first was that it looked like a Chinese lantern, but it didn't make sense for it to be not moving when it was so windy out. It stayed stationary and we both stopped to look at it, each trying to come up with theories over what it was. A plane? My boyfriend even suggested it could be a rocket. We were both pretty scared, and we stayed completely still to watch it, still confused as to what the object was. It stayed stationary for a while, before moving to the left and fading out of away, as though it was never there.
