UFO Sighting in Reelsville, Indiana on February 27th 2016 – Very fast starlight

Being familiar with the local air traffic, I'm not sure what I just saw. looking north, I saw a bright yellow light. I looked away and back, it began to move to the south. As it moved it rapidly gained speed;moving several times faster than other jet traffic. There was a flashing light, but, that came from the front half of the object. Not from under as from a jet. The flashing light was, also, mostly white. By that I mean it flashed white several times then changed to red for one or two flashes then back to white. The overall bright yellow glow did not change. The brightness was similar to that of Sirius, which was to the SSW. When it got due east of me it simply vanished. There was no sound.
