UFO Sighting in Apollo Beach, Florida on February 20th 2016 – Drone like object with white and red lights

I was in my house and passed by my window when I thought I saw the white light of an airplane above the houses behind me, however, it moved erratically. It was a simple white dot, bigger than a star. It disappeared for 30 seconds and came back, but bigger/closer this time, so I went outside and noticed that it now had a red light on top and I heard a whirring noise. I assumed it was a drone toy of some sort, but it happened so fast that I could not determine the actual size and distance of the object. When it "saw" me, it appeared to descend quickly and disappear. This object was shaped like a stereo typical UFO - disk shaped with a small dome/light on top. It could have been a toy, but after some pondering, I decided it might be worth reporting just in case.
