I was in my condo's parking lot walking to my unit. I looked north and saw a bright light at about the height of commercial airlines in final approach to the airport. It was a bright like landing lights but singular; not dual typical of commercial aircraft. I questioned whether or not I was observing an aircraft, or a star. There was a thin cloud cluster moving north and when I first saw the light I question whether the object was moving or was it a an illusion caused by the cloud cluster moving north. It became apparent that the light was moving south. During the entire period of observation I never observed aircraft strobe lights. The star-like object was travelling south. When it got at about 10 o'clock, the brightness diminished. It was then I realized the object gained altitude. At about 2 o'clock, the object disappeared at a very high altitude. The moon was bight and I lost visual on the object about a hands width from the moon. Overall the object was first observed heading south at approach height. It made a gradual turn to the southeast while gaining altitude and then disappeared. My condo is under one of the flight path to one of the airports. I have seen many aircraft in final approach. This was not like anything I had ever observed before. I have never seen any aircraft do what I observed last night. This object did not fly over. It disappeared. When it disappeared the sky was clear and except for the cloud cluster mentioned at the beginning of the observation, the sky was clear.
