In back yard of client around 8:30 PM on 2/13/16 in Gulf Breeze, FL. Clear view of night sky, few lights around - 100% viz. Looking up as I always do when the sky is so clear and stars bright. Saw what I thought was a meteor about 40deg above horizon to the South. I thought it was a meteor because of the speed. I t was very dim compared to the brightness of the stars. I expected it to burn out, but I had to physically turn around as I followed it across the sky, where it went out of sight behind trees to the North about 30deg above horizon. The object appeared grayish to copper with fuzzy edges, appearing translucent at the edges - not reflecting ground light, but emitting it's own light. As I pivoted my body and head to watch the object speed across the sky, I verbally said, "Oh My God, What the heck was that!" My wife, who was in the house heard me, was alarmed and came out of the house. The object had zipped by across the entire arc of the sky without changing in brightness, velocity or direction. I was astonished by the speed and the fact that it did not burn out or change in brightness, nor did it appear to decelerate. The object appeared solid with "fuzzy" or translucent edges and was chevron in shape and grayish-brown in color. My impression was that it was at a very great distance, in the upper atmosphere, making its apparent speed all the more astonishing. I have tried to make sense of this, but I know of nothing conventional or natural that would explain it. I hesitated to post this report, but I ultimately felt a responsibility to report this in the hope it might contribute in some small way to your efforts.
