I was inside my parents home at or around 8:40 pm, in Brazoria county near Ouster Creek, Texas. My father was out on the deck and talking to the neighbors across the canal when he noticed a bright ball of light in the sky. The neighbors saw it as well. My father yelled to my mom, girlfriend, daughter and I to come look at the " ball of light in the sky." When went outside I saw a large, round, red glowing ball in the southern sky. It was stationary in the sky for about a minute. My girlfriend and my daughter ran inside to get a camera(iPhone) and binoculars. Then it started moving slowly to the southwest. After moving to the southwest for about 15 seconds, it's size shrank and disappeared as moving away. The shrinking and disappearing happened in about 2-3 seconds. My girlfriend and daughter didn't make it back outside before is disappeared. While I watched the object, I knew that I was not seeing an airplane or helicopter. The sky was completely clear. The object was over land and I am sure it was not a signal/distress flare. The beach is more than five miles away. I was fascinated by the object and I didn't feel that we were in any danger. I'm not sure what the UFO was, but I am sure that it was something extraordinary.
