I was driving home from work, Urbana MD, using i-70. Before I came upon the Manassas exit I witnessed a whole cluster of blinking odd lights. I watched them for about a half a minute, trying to see first if they were airplanes but they seemed to be too close together and at equal distant from each other, and if they were planes they would have crashed into one another. Some rocked back and forth, others stayed very bright. Also, if they were a plane they'd have white solid light with red and blue blinking lights, they did not. They dimmed out and they sky was completely clear in the exact same spot they all had been seconds before. Driving down i-70 I kept seeing more and more odd lights. I stared at one during a straight stretch of the road near the Libson exit and it stayed still until a plane started to come into view and it blinked once before completely disappearing. Once I arrived onto route 100 I saw something that may have been a flair, but I'm not completely sure. There were no planes in the area, nor a military base for twenty or so miles out. It looked like a first a hovering bright white/purple dot. It started to fall, then rise back up, zigzag crazily whilst blinking so there was no constant light as it moved. If it were a flare, I'm not sure how it moved back up the sky, but it was very odd. A plane started to come into view and it completely disappeared. There are many military bases in the area, BWI Airport, and we are in the flight zone for if the President is evacuated to Camp David, we would see their planes/helicopters when used. It was an extremely odd night seeing so many UFO's, but with supposed upcoming events, it seemed very off but not at the same time.
