Sometime around 11:30pm, I was approaching the main exits to Albany from I-787. The road takes a distinctive curve there. As I drove out of the curve, the sky was noticeably lighter, almost like dusk, perhaps because of the lights around Albany. I noticed what appeared to be a commercial aircraft way off in the distant sky. Then much lower in the sky, a triangle of blue-ish lights entered my field of vision and descended at about a 45 degree angle at cartoonishly fast speed until the bridges and land along the interstate blocked my view. I wondered if it was a meteor, which I've seen before, but there was no trail behind it, there were three lights, it was not arcing, and it traveled at a very sharp angle. I have never seen any aircraft or object in the sky move at this rate of speed. It was incomprehensibly fast.
