Black Triangle Sighting in West Chester, Ohio on July 25th 2015 – Glowing object fading to black triangle

I was letting my dog out on the front lawn for a bathroom break. The moon was directly observable and low in the sky. As I looked at it, directly to the right was what I assumed a twinkling reddish-orange light, perhaps Venus. I soon noticed it was actually moving toward my location. Planes and helicopters often flyover, so I wasn't surprised until I noticed that the twinkling lights were too numerous to be landing lights. There was neither variation in color, nor any blinking, and no engine noise that would be expected at low altitude. The speed of the object was consistent with a helicopter or small plane. As the object came closer, the lights began flickering out over 3/4 of the object until a single point of light remained, which also faded out completely. By this time the object was directly overhead and I could still discern the outline against the sky. It was black, opaque, and shaped like an isosceles triangle. I'm certain of the shape As I turned around to watch it go over the house I lost it for a moment, when I refocused, the object had changed location to the point where I determined its path was not a straight line. Shortly thereafter I lost sight of the object over the trees. From the lighting behavior, it is possible this was some sort of meteorite, but that doesn't explain the angular shape nor its flight pattern. My wife proposed it was a B-2 stealth aircraft but that doesn't explain why it'd be lit inconsistently over civilian airspace... and while they're both triangular, this object was not shaped like a B-2.
