UFO Sighting in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 4th 2015 – A silent orange globe traveled very slowly then rapidly accelerated SSW. It “waved” back and forth just before out of sight.

On 042101JUL2015 my wife, son and I were watching neighborhood fireworks. My wife suddenly pointed out an orange globe moving very slowly across the night sky, but with no sound. It had no blinking lights. There was a very slight white-blue hue at the front (direction of travel) of the globe, but it was mainly glowing red-orange. Encircling the bottom of the globe, I noticed an absence of light, like a black bubble of energy. The orb moved slowly southwest for approximately 10-15 seconds, then steadily and rapidly accelerated in the same direction for another 10-15 seconds. Halfway through the sighting, I called the attention of two Asian couples a few houses to the east so that they could witness the orb, too. Just before the orb was out of sight, it zig-zagged rapidly three to four times then straightened and disappeared. There was no sound or smoke associated with the orb. Also, no other commercial aircraft were visible for several minutes prior to or following the sighting. *Curiously, the event occured at the same time the fireworks were scheduled to commenced at the Las Vegas Strip and Red Rock Casino. I am a 35yr old retired veteran from 1/75 Ranger Regiment, and to me this specific timing suggests an intellegent attempt to cloud the validity of and create ambiguity surrounding this sighting. It may also have historical implications as it was on 04JUL and IVO a US AF base.
