UFO Sighting in Hughson, California on February 28th 1997 – Straight course movement with abrupt near-180 degree course change without stopping or slowing.

I was waiting for my ride to school and I was sky watching in the early-morning dark. I noticed what appeared to be a satellite or high-flying airplane. It was going in a roughly easterly direction when the object abruptly changed course to a roughly-westerly direction. There was no stopping or slowing of the object when it made the course change. This was not the first time I had seen this type of event. I had witnessed this exact same kind of event a few years earlier, so I was curious as to what the object was doing. I watched the object for a few more minutes until my ride arrived and had to leave.
