UFO Sighting in Durham, North Carolina on July 20th 2015 – I was sitting on my north facing front porch when I saw a bright light appear and hover motionless at about a 45-degree angle above the trees.

1. I was sitting in my porch swing. The porch faces north. 2. I noticed the object because it appeared suddenly and was very bright. 3. The object didn't correspond with anything I had any knowledge of. 4. What I saw was a bright white light with a slight blueish cast. This light hovered motionless at about a 45 degree angle from me above the tree line. Off to the right {which would be north-easterly} I saw what appeared to be passenger plane either taking off or coming in for a landing at RDU airport. 5. My first reaction was surprise. Then I was very curious. I continued to watch the sky. 6. I lost sight of the object because it simply vanished. Please note: I have waited until now to report this because I wanted to wait and see if I saw anything else. 7. Shortly after I saw what I described above I saw a bright white light with a blueish cast appear in the top of a neighbor's tree. It hovered briefly and then moved to the right and stopped. It then began to descend. As it descended it grew yellower, then orange-yellow and progressively changed color until it was orangish-red. Then it dis- appeared suddenly.
