A friend was dropping me off when we noticed three large orangish lights in the sky. One of them seemed to descend a little bit, and another to travel in a sort of easterly direction. Then, as if one cue, all three objects made a triangular formation... perfect equilateral type triangle formation -- and then they were just gone. I have seen planes taking off and heading towards Oakland airport many times. These did not look like any planes I have ever seen... All of this transpired in no more than a few minutes.
