Went outside at work at 11:10 to get something from vehicle. Saw very large yellow/orangish object due west at a distance that would have appeared to be over Lake Michigan (I am inland just over 2 hours). There is a cell tower around 2 miles away with the usual red light on top, it served as a good reference point because the object was to the left of it but much farther away, it was around 6 times larger (and also brighter) than the red light on top of tower. Watched it for around 5 minutes as it descended heading north out of sight. My first thought was of how much it looked like a comet like in the movies or science shows. Very strange because I do a lot of night sky photography, I've seen many fireballs, meteors, satellites etc. and this was completely different.
