UFO Sighting in Kipawa, Quebec on July 5th 2015 – Watched single light hover on the opposite shoreline of the lake. Additional lights appear. approx 20

My wife and I were having some quiet time after returning to the cottage on Lake Kipawa, Quebec. We went down to the dock at the lake and observed a light on the opposite side of the lake just over the treeline. The light hovered for approx 20 mins moving up and down in an area where no cottage were present. As I use Drones for work purposes I ruled it out as the flight time was too long and their was no noise. Very clear and quiet night with moon lighting sky. All of a sudden my wife noticed more lights appear to the east of the first light. They rose as tho they were ascending the sky in formation. As I am a former military member I immediately noticed formation flying. The lights rose rose fast for 10 mins stopping higher in the sky. They seemed to be formed in a large circle. 3 lights then flew in towards the same pooint in the sky then merged into 1 light. We had to wake up early and went to bed. Light remained in same circle formation. We attempted to photograph the lights but only had a cell and tablet which to not have the required lens size for night sky shots. We observed the same event with lights in different locations the following weekend. Thought we would report sighting with MUFON. FYI I am a director in a leading edge industry and first think to explain events with reasonable explanations but cannot explain this event.
