UFO Sighting in Shelton, Connecticut on July 25th 1997 – Ufo speed over head and then sped off over the mountains

I was outside of my childhood home late one evening find myself looking at the stars. I was standing at the edge of our driveway when I noticed a bright light that got bigger very quickly and materialized almost instantly into a giant disc over my head. It was low enough for me to see a good amount of details however it was a long time ago so I am not exactly sure what everything looked like on it. But as it was hovering overhead it was flashing different color lights on the bottom and after a few seconds it took off at unimaginable speed towards the mountains in the distance just over the Horizon. It was strange because I was not shocked by the sudden appearance and felt more of a sense of wonder than anything. It wasn't until I went inside to tell my parents what I had seen and draw a quick picture of it that it really set in what had happened.
