Observed pattern of extremely bright 5 lights or objects. Pattern was in a spread out dipper shape but the objects came closer together before disappearing in the clouds. Direction was to the NNE and high not directly over. Four adults and 8 year old observed. Objects showed against solid cloud light gray backdrop. Ascended into the clouds. Stationary when first observed and ascended straight up. Took picture with I phone but not a good photo.
We were visiting on our sons family on their backyard deck. First impression were very bright crisp lights in an unusual pattern that were not moving.
