UFO Sighting in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania on July 12th 2015 – Witnessed a ball of light that appeared as a huge oversized star that dimmed into what seemed like a plane then suddenly disappeared. about five seconds later the whole sky quickly lit up like a flash. then nothing.
My son and I were sitting on the front patio at approximately 9:45 in the evening on July 12. It had been dark for only a short time. As my son was speaking to me he noticed a large ball of light in the eastern sky a short distance above the tree line. I immediately turned around just in time to see a basketball shaped light reduce to what appeared to be a standard commercial aircraft. Then within a second or two the whole thing disappeared. We immediately commented to each other, "what was that?". Then the whole sky lit up like a firework flash or heat lightning. Then nothing. Never heard a sound just a visual sighting. Filing this report just in case anyone else veiwed something similar.
