UFO Sighting in Petersfield, Manitoba on July 11th 2015 – A distinct bright red orb moved steadily in a straight northward path. It slowed to a near stop when to the West. It then continued Northward, but sped disarmingly quickly, seeming to both climb and recede from view.

1 Walking dogs near Netley Creek Manitoba, Canada 2 The object was directly in the direction of my travel. It was bright and steady, like the lights you see on the tops of towers. However, there are no towers in that direction. 3 I had no clue what it was. I grew up as an air force brat, and know thats not the pattern to lights on a plane...a single steady large red light... 4 The motions have given me food for thought. They could not have been an aircraft or helicopter...too silent, too maneuverable. When it stopped to the West of me, I wanted to scream for others to look. By then I was thinking it could have been a drone. They are certainly a maturing technology. What made me realize it was not a drone is the way it accelerated and climbed away. That sudden change was devastatingly fast. By the way...prevailing winds that day were from the North-West. Object was moving against the wind. 5 Awe. Amusement. Told my wife. 6 The object rapidly ascended, exceeding available eyesight to track it.
