UFO Sighting in Chimney Rock, North Carolina on May 31st 1993 – UFO chased by helicopter witnessed by 6 people

We owned an ice cream shop with outside seating in downtown Chimney Rock, NC. Around 10 pm we decided to stay open late since one couple was dancing to the beach music we were playing and two other couples were sitting enjoying the evening. My husband and I joined our customers and were sitting down when a bright yellow/white light darted from the range of mountains across the street and was chased by a military helicopter. The chase lasted only a few seconds as the UFO shot across the sky toward the lighted Chimney Rock (a chimney shaped rock) that was on the opposite side of the road (our side). The two objects soared around the "Chimney" and the UFO made a hard right turn with the helicopter on its tail in pursuit. It was unmistakably a UFO with a miitary helicopter giving a hard chase. Both disappeared over the range of mountains that comprise the park. It was a clear night, stars were out, no moon. The only sound was that of the helicopter. The helicopter was right on the tail of the UFO by the time the two reached the "Chimney". It was an incredible sight. I don't know the names of the 2 couples who also witnessed the chase, they were strangers.
