While sitting on my front porch waiting for my wife to return from store and help her unload the car, I looked up to the northeast and saw a diamond-square object slowly rotating and slowly floating in the sky. At first, I thought it was a balloon of some sort, but as it rotated, the sides of the object flexed in and out in a pulsing manner. I also realized it wasn't a balloon, and was much larger than one when I saw it pass behind a line of trees, which are approximately 300-500 yards away - it seemed to be both much larger than a balloon that could have been randomly lost from a holiday event.
The object was still rotating as it disappeared behind the upper edge of the tree line, and I unfortunately had no way of moving quickly enough to try and see where it went. The daylight was also quickly fading, so it would have been a more-than-likely fruitless effort.
