UFO Sighting in Fort Carson, Colorado on April 14th 2011 – Ball of light that moved extremely fast and made sharp turns and changed color

This sighting happened while i was serving as an MP in the US army in April of 2011. My self and a friend who were on duty MPs (Military Police) at the time were smoking in the empty parking lot of Iron Horse Park on Fort Carson just south of Colorado Springs Colorado. We were in the park for about 15 min before we noticed an odd light coming out of the North West over Pikes Peak. At first i thought it was the light form the weather station on top of the peak but then the light changed color that is when i asked my friend to look at it as well. we continued to observe the object as it moved from the north west to the south east at an extremely high rate of speed as it moved toward our position it changed color form a hazy white to a bright orange then a deep red. it pulsed between these colors as it moved to the south east. After the object reached the south east the object then stopped and made a 90 degree turn toward the sky and climbed out of sight at a almost unbelievable speed the whole ordeal lasted approximately 45 seconds. i contacted our police dispatch center after that to find out if there were any Apache Helicopter units using the live fire ranges, no ranges were active that night. my friend and i then decided not to report the sighting officially in fear that we would be removed form our MP duties.
