UFO Sighting in San Marcos, Texas on July 5th 2015 – Stationary bright orange colored round figure that projected another smaller sized orb. Then dissapeard.

My and my g/f were driving at around 9pm and south west of the neighborhood I saw a bright orange light through the trees not moving or anything. It was stationary and was not blinking or wavering. It looked like a "fire in the sky" I had to take a double take and told my girlfriend as I started to shake because I'm not stupid and I know what fireworks are and what not. Then it dropped a same color and shape object a little smaller than the main orb about a fingers width from where we were. And it was stationary as well but really bright. It looked almost mechanical because it was not natural. Then it vanished. Hoping other reports come up.
