UFO Sighting in Hempstead, New York on July 3rd 2015 – a flashing starlike object flying through the sky

I was outside starring into the sky night sky around 1am when I saw a object moving.This isn't my first time seeing this object. I've seen it other times in the same area but this time for the longest amount of time. It was starlike but had slight differences from a star. It wasn't as bright as a star and moving throughout space freely. I watched the object move many times and sometimes in zig zag and circles.This object had a flashing light or type of beacon on the bottom. I the object looked like it being operated and driving with intention of going some where or just watching us. The object would stop and sit idle it would flash a flight or move in a circle like pattern.The appeared to within seeing distance but further than the moon. I watched the object until I couldnt see it due to the light flashing on and off. When I tried to record the object on my phone I couldn't anything just the moon.
