UFO Sighting in Valparaiso, Indiana on July 4th 2015 – round object in night sky with one orange light rotating around it’s perimeter.
Just finished dinner and walked out onto my deck to see if I could see any of the fireworks that I was hearing in the distance shoot above the treeline. I live next to a 14 acre pond and woods surround us like a bowl. An airplane, or what I assume was an airplane caught my eye because it seemed to have an orange glow and the strobe lights seemed to flash orange. This is not the object I am reporting. Just as I turned and was about to enter the house I caught a black "spot" in the sky. At first I could only see it with my peripheral vision while not looking directly at it. It was moving from south-east to north-west. Looking directly at it I saw nothing at first. As it got closer I could see it directly and noticed a single orange light rotating around it's perimeter. My impression is that the light was stationary and the object was spinning. Saw no structure or form...just a dark round object blocking out the night sky. I called for my wife to come out and she also saw the object just before it went out of sight above our roof line.
