UFO Sighting in Lockport, Illinois on July 4th 2015 – Reddish-orange light moving in SE direction, hovered, then faded.

We were standing on our pool deck, watching for and listening to the local fireworks displays around 9:30 pm. Approximately a few minutes after 10:00 pm, one of us spotted a light shining through the treetops to the NE, and then I saw it too. We watched it for a minute or so. At first we thought it might be a firework, some sort of light, or an airplane. The light was similar to a star, in that it was a round glowing shape, not defined with edges, but more of a floating light. We laughed and said, "Oh look, it is here to see the fireworks." Then we stopped laughing as the light stopped moving, and we realized it wasn't an airplane at all. It was pretty bright, and moving in a SE direction, when it suddenly stopped and hovered for about 30 seconds or so. We continued to watch it, then it began to fade which took about 10 seconds, and then blinked out. It was neat to see, and once it faded, we lost interest in the fireworks and went inside the house. I wanted to make sure that I wrote down what we saw as soon as possible so I looked up this site to track it, and see if anyone else saw it as well.
