UFO Sighting in Arden, North Carolina on July 4th 2015 – It looked like a flame, like an orange flame in the sky, it vanished, it was there for about 5 mins, then vanished right before my eyes

My fiancee, son, daughter, my fiancee's grandmother and myself were outside of our grandmother's house saying good-bye. It was around 9:15pm July4th 2015, we were going to go up the road and watch the fire works display. We had heard a few people already lighting some off in the distance. It was almost dark, but still light in the sky. As we were getting into the car something caught my eye. It looked like what I thought was a firework going up in the sky, but it never exploded, it did not burn out. It just stayed there, moving towards us. It looked like an orange flame. It was not the light from an air plane or a helicopter, the house is near to an airport, we know what those kind of air craft look like. We all saw it, not one of us knew what it was. It was a flame, a glowing orange flame moving towards us. Then it stopped moving. It looked as if it was flickering off and on, just like a candle flame would do, if a gust of wind were hitting it. After about five minutes, I watched as it just vanished. If it were a fire work, it would have either exploded, or fizzled back down. This thing stayed in the sky, a bright orange flickering flame. It looked as if it were an egg shape, but the top was more of a point. Our Grandmother is the wife of a retired Marine, she even had no idea what it was. I felt baffled. I honestly have no idea what I saw. I am not saying it was little green men, or even if it was other worldly, but it was something I have never seen before, and that I have no logical way to say what it was.
