UFO Sighting in Victoria, British Columbia on March 5th 1989 – In friend’s living room purple orb hovered over floor vent near fireplace

I was in a friend's living room in Colwood on Triangle Mountain. The orb just appeared out of thin air. I thought how odd this was. The object was a soccer ball size purple orb it neither reflected or have off any light it had a dull sheen. The orb just sat there not moving then it was gone as suddenly as it had appeared. During the time I saw the orb I thought I was hallucinating then I thought how cool it was to see this. After seeing it I told my friend who told his mom that I was seeing things. The orb simply disappeared.
