UFO Sighting in West Sacramento, California on May 31st 1957 – Two lights one moving from NW to NE the other moving from NE to NW

My family and my buddies family went outside on our front lawn to see if we could see the Russian sputnik. Our parent's said there it is and my friend and I looked up for it. Then I saw it and pointed it out to my buddy. I saw this small dot of light moving from the north west going to the north east. Then I noticed another dot of light moving from the north east to the north west on the same path like they would crash into each other. One of the dots stopped and moved to it's left then they passed each other continued on till they were out of sight. During this time I looked over at our parent's and saw that they were looking at another light that was moving from the west heading east. I lost contact with my friend over the years and reconnected about 3 years ago after 30 years and I asked him did he remember it and he said yes.
