UFO Sighting in Roscoe, New York on July 14th 1977 – Seelf-illuminating Craft going northast, then over local golf-corse. Then hovered above 7th-Tee-off & eventually descended. As it did, it shimmered and disappeared B4 it fully landed. Many witnesses. (40-60)
I was at my home , outside & saw a shimmering light heading NE over the mountain , then golf course. It stopped over the 7th Tee-Box , a flattened area. It shone a light down (but not like a tight "tractor-beam" light , more of a light that got dimmer as it radiated outward). The course is only an easy 9-iron away , about 60 yards. It hovered above that area for about 15-20 minutes , then started to descend , but B4 reaching the ground , it faded out. During the sighting , the local Police came , & very shortly after that , a helicopter shows up too. It showed up too soon for the cops to have called anyone AFTER they arrived. The golf-course filled up with more & more people as time went on & many saw it. I spoke to the Officer there about it 2 times. AT the sighting he said it was a UFO (he had no clue what it was either) , & a few years AFTER the ordeal , He said... " You were there , You saw it , it was just a Helicopter "! Go figure , eh?
